Praising Him In This Storm

June 6, 2008

I’ll praise You in this storm/And I will lift my hands/For You are who You are/No matter where I am/Every tear I’ve cried/You hold in Your hand/You never left my side/And though my heart is torn/I will praise You in this storm

Praise You In This Storm – Casting Crowns

The past couple of months have really hit me and my family hard. Found out that my mom has breast cancer, dealing with multiple sugeries, doctor’s appointments, and all the stuff involved in it. Remembering to praise God in the midst of struggles can be a hard thing, but you have to find joy in those times.

I’m really praising God right now, as they got all the cancer out, even though there’s still a long road ahead for my mom with all the chemo and radiation treatments that are coming. But just remembering to praise Him in the midst of it, can make a HUGE differance!

Breast cancer is a really emotional time, that I never realized before my mom got it. Now I’m starting to get involved in walks and that kinda thing to raise awareness. I’m getting Pink Ribbon products, and noticing stuff about breast cancer.

God bless you all, and remember to praise God through all the struggles! He’ll never let you down!

Elizabeth, my heart is joyful that at 15, you are mature enough in your walk to have such a posture in this storm. I will be praying for you to remain steadfast so that you may not only bless your family, but be an inspiration to many others.

In the near future (awaiting more input from my mom), i am going to put up a funny cancer story post. A true story from my own mom’s fight with stage 4 cancer. pop in once in a while to see if it is up.

And God bless you and your family!
